…Anticipatory Reflections of Sunday…

Easter — the day in history when the world forever changed.

This week, we celebrate the vibrant reality that Jesus Christ is alive, that eternal life is found in Him alone, and that God is gloriously welcoming us to come out of our tombs, our graves, our death sentences and walk in abundant life, by His side.

Christ Arose is a classic song that reminds us that Jesus Christ arose up from the grave! Glorious Day is an electric celebration of conversion. Crown Him is a sweet Easter Hymn of Jesus supremacy, while Jesus Paid It All is equally as sweet, and revels in the belonging we have in Him.

Living Hope is a joyous victory march reliving the moment of Jesus resurrection and Majesty is the refrain, that holds us in awe of His otherworldly nature, and ultimate authority—Jesus who died, now glorified, King of All Kings.

I cannot think of a better week to shout. There will even be moments in Glorious Day where we will shout!

Did I mention we have a stellar brass quartet, made of my old college buddy, and three of Village’s very own fine instrumentalists?

The message of God’s love and everlasting life that our pastor Jeff will bring will compel our hearts to glorify the God who brings dead to life, and I am asking God to draw you and me into greater relationship with him.

This is going to be one special Sunday. I cannot wait to see you at church!
