Prayer Walk Challenge

During the week of October 9-15, I am throwing out a challenge to the Village Church family. I want to invite you to prayer walk your neighborhood street every day for a week. Whether you walk by yourself, with your spouse, your children or family, or a friend, I want to encourage you to take 10-20 minutes and walk through your neighborhood praying for the neighbors who live around you.

The purpose of this exercise is to help us to begin to intentionally think about our neighbors and to begin to ask God how he wants to use us in their lives. God has planted us in the place that we live for a purpose. Acts 17:26 says that God has determined beforehand when and where all peoples should live. God has a purpose in the era we where born and where we live. Meaning God wants to use you in the place that you are.

Prayer Walks help us develop mission in our neighborhood as we seek to live out the Gospel. Would you consider joining us in this challenge to walk your street and pray over your neighbors?
