…Anticipatory Reflections of Sunday…
The works of [God’s] hands are faithful and just; all his precepts are trustworthy;
they are established forever and ever, to be performed with faithfulness and uprightness.
He sent redemption to his people; he has commanded his covenant forever.
Holy and awesome is his name! The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!
– Psalm 111:7-10
I Will Not Be Silent [New to Village] David Crowder’s first song. We haven’t sung it at Village before this Sunday. How is that possible? That needed to change.
| Freedom This song, from Urban Rescue’s Jordan Frye, is one we’re adding into our rotation, because it’s exactly at the heart of our desire at Village, to experience the freedom of God in our worship!
| Psalm 96 Moment Each week, someone shares about what God did within the past week. It’s going to be a wild summer!
| Great Are You Lord In our sermon, Abigail’s choice was wisdom–wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord. This is the prayer of wisdom–praising God for being great, as we reflect on His glory.
| Grace, Greater Than Our Sin This rich hymn contains the brilliant, constant equation. God’s grace > all our sin.
| Even So Come This Kristian Stanfill song is packed with vibrant joy. It is our cry that we–God’s people–will be ready for His coming back. What does being ready look like? It means directly applying what we learn about wisdom and folly. It means living our lives for what matters. It means June and July are not off months. Let’s live for Jesus this summer, as much as ever before in our lives.
