Who Are You Praying For?

When Jesus calls us to pray earnestly that God would send laborers into His harvest, He is calling us to have an outward prayer life. So what does it look like to pray earnestly for the sake of the Gospel? How do we pray for God to send laborers? One of the ways we can do this is by specifically praying for family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors who do not know Jesus as Savior. Pray that God would bring people into their lives to share the Gospel with them. When we commit to regularly intercede for them, we are doing three things. First, we are praying according to the will of the Father. Second, we are aligning our hearts to reflect the heart of the Father. And third, we are entering into the work of the Father. If you do not regularly pray for non-believers, would you begin with one person in your life that you would commit to regularly pray for? As our prayer life moves outward, our heart takes on the compassion of Christ, which will move our life into the work and mission of Christ. And so let me ask you: who are you praying for?
